Research Irradiators
Hopewell Designs, Inc. is pleased to offer a new line of research irradiators. Designed to meet the needs of medical and biological research, they are well suited to research in cell biology, oncology, radioimmunology, radiosensitivity, and additional applications.
Each irradiator is designed with the research scientist in mind. They provide excellent beam uniformity in a simple design. An electronic control panel allows quick setup and monitors the irradiation. Safety systems and shielding design make these systems safe and reliable.
The Model XR50 Research X-Ray Irradiator is a fully self-contained
X-ray irradiation system that offers maximum dose at a choice of 160kV, 225kV, or 320 kV. With no additional shielding required and fail-safe design, the cabinet offers a safe, easy-to-use system ideal for the research laboratory environment. The exposure chamber is 10 mm diameter x 200 mm tall.

Model BX3-BR Gamma Research Irradiator
The Model BX3-BR Gamma Research Irradiator produces a beam of gamma radiation of varying strengths for irradiating biological specimens inside a fully shielded enclosure. The large exposure chamber and variable distance to the radiation source offers the maximum flexibility for research and irradiation projects. The exposure chamber is 805 mm x 440 mm x 650 mm tall.
Typical exposure rates at the center of the chamber are:
